Hotel Marques De Pombal - Lisbon

Central location. Accessability to trains, buses, airport. Friendliness and competence of staff, and their ability to speak fluent English. High hygiene standards, and good quality and presentation of food. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Its unbeatable, central location was a plus.

I stayed at the hotel in 2001 and now just recently. The hotel had reburbished all the rooms in 2010 so they were just as beautiful as I remember from my first trip. The staff are fluent in English and many other languages and very friendly and professional and helpful. The beds are sooo comfortable! And the rooms were very clean. The location of the hotel is great - convenient to shopping, restaurants. Easy to get taxis, etc. The value for money was excellent. Breakfast was included in the cost and it was a full breakfast buffet! I really really like this hotel and would recommend without hesitation to business travellers, honeymooners, families, couples - everyone. Thank you.

The bed pillows are very soft, which many people like. I prefer a firmer pillow. That is the only suggestion.

An amazing bed and a well-maintained room overall. Early check-in, parking close to the hotel. Everything spotless.

Locaton and rom comfort

Very clean and comfort room. Silent enough although we had a room facing the main street. Air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast basic for a four star hotel, but everything of good quality.

Fully equipped and excellent quality accommodation. Competent personnel, well-equipped and well decorated rooms with a very nice view towards the avenue, milk and saucers. Convenient location to Metro & historic centre and very very nice area. Again, walking distance to Liberty Avenue. The hotel of choice in Lisbon.

The hotel is immaculate. It is kept beautifully clean and the sevicing of the room, with fresh bedding every day, was without reproach. The staff were extremely efficient and helpful in every way. The evening meals were really well presented and were not overly expensive. It was a good experience all round.

Merely as constructive criticisms:- (1) the hot food for breakfast was not hot - just warm and (2) the plates for hot food (both at breakfast and at dinner) were cold but, that having been said, this seems to be the norm. on the Continent.

It was spotless, a decent size room.

This hotel is great if you are driving to Lisbon from the south. Very easy to find as so close to M. Pombal. Parking facilities were excellent, I literally pulled up outside and a member of staff was straight out to park it for me and brought luggage up to room. Same on check out too. Very helpful and pleasant staff throughout the whole hotel. Breakfast room staff were excellent with my boisterous chldren! Great location for start of open top bus tours and Metro. Great size bathroom for a city hotel. Lots of room to lay all my toiletries/make-up out!

Only negative was that my room was slightly on the warm side even with aircon on.

Very nice people, ready to give informations on the best places to go in Lisbon. Good breakfast although the room is not ample and therefore crowded. All in all very good value for money for a good position on the main Lisbon's avenue.

The staff was very helpful nad very nice. The rooms are clean, nice, and tastefully furnished. The location in the very center of Lisbon is definitely a olus.

This place offers a fantastic central location, a cozy vibe, and easy access to public transport. The luggage service was a game-changer, storing our bags while we explored.
